I’m a Senior Director of Engineering at Slack. I’ve held several roles there, including:
led the Developer Platform Engineering team,
built and led our Infrastructure Engineering team (scaling it from < 10 to 100 engineers in 2 years),
now I lead a key area of our Product Engineering team focused on network effects in Slack.
I currently sit on the board of Medcorder.
Prior to Slack I was the co-founder and CTO of Tindie (an electronics marketplace often called the “Etsy of Electronics”) from founding through acquisition.
I previously sat on the boards of both the Computer History Museum and California Polytechnic State University's Computer Science Department.
I’ve held both product and engineering roles, starting my career at IBM Almaden Research Center at San Jose, CA.
I hold a BS and MS in Computer Science with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I was on the varsity rowing team.
